Palm Sunday

Sunday, April 13 9:30 am

Holy Week begins with a palm procession and the proclamation of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem from the gospel of Luke. Christ enters the assembly now, just as he did then, and with the angels at his birth we praise his presence among us.

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, April 17 6:30 pm

This Thursday is called “Maundy,” which means “command,” from the verse in John’s gospel in which Jesus commands us to love another as he loved us. We hear about the Passover lamb, Jesus’ last meal with his disciples before his death, and Jesus washing his disciples’ feet.

Good Friday

Friday, April 18 6:30 pm

Life and death stand side by side as we enter into Good Friday. In John’s passion account, Jesus reveals the power and glory of God, even as he is put on trial and sentenced to death. We gather in solemn devotion and depart silently, as we anticipate the culmination of the Three Days in the Easter Vigil.

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 20 9:30 am

Today Christ is risen, and we gather together with astonishment and joy! Christ is risen, and we have been set free from the bonds of death. Christ is risen, and we are forgiven. Christ is risen, and with the women at the tomb and Peter, we are amazed. Let us rejoice: Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
